Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Roper to join our dedicated livestock management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal husbandry, particularly with cattle, and demonstrate exceptional skills in roping and handling livestock safely.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the health and welfare of the cattle herd.
  • Identify and treat illnesses and injuries in livestock.
  • Implement effective breeding programs for improving herd genetics.
  • Manage feeding, watering, and grazing schedules for animals.
  • Coordinate with the veterinary team for health checks and vaccinations.
  • Participate in maintaining farm facilities and equipment.
  • Engage in continuous learning about animal husbandry and welfare best practices.
  • Work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required.

Requirements

Education
  • Higher qualification in Animal Husbandry or Agriculture is preferred
Experience
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in livestock management, specifically cattle.
