Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance of electrical systems in our facilities in Cape Town. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong aptitude for electrical systems troubleshooting and repair, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized electrical works.
• Assist in developing maintenance protocols and safety regulations.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all electrical activities.
• Support the installation of new electrical systems and machinery.
• Train and mentor junior staff on best practices in electrical maintenance.
• Stay abreast of developments in electrical engineering and technology.
• Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives through strategic electrical improvements.
• Provide technical support for equipment operation and maintenance.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance fields.
