SOC Analyst

Job Description

As a SOC Analyst, you will be tasked with analyzing security events, triaging incidents, and coordinating responses to threats. You'll work closely with stakeholders to enhance our security posture and develop response plans for high-priority threats.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first responder to cybersecurity incidents.
• Manage and analyze alerts from security information systems.
• Coordinate with law enforcement in case of security breaches.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to incident response.
• Identify areas of improvement in security posture.
• Engage with external stakeholders for threat communications.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications will be advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a security operations role

Technical Skills

• Threat Hunting
• Firewall Management

Soft Skills

• Team Player
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with cloud-based security: Experience securing cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools: Skilled in using tools for simulated attacks to identify vulnerabilities.
