Clinical Pharmacist

Job Description

We are looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our dedicated team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medication, providing expert consultations, and contributing to our patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of medication dispensing and adherence to regulations.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training.
• Handle patient inquiries regarding medication and health concerns.
• Assist in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies.
• Support inventory management and medication procurement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting

• Pharmacotherapy

Certifications

• Advanced Pharmacy Practice

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with medication reconciliation processes: Experience in medication reconciliation during transitions of care.
