Mental Health Counselor

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Mental Health Counselor who is dedicated to enhancing the mental and emotional health of our clients. In this role, you will provide one-on-one counselling, develop treatment plans, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to offer support and guidance to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Administer psychological assessments to understand clients' mental health status.
• Create and implement therapeutic interventions in alignment with best practices.
• Support clients in developing coping strategies to deal with stress and trauma.
• Network with external mental health agencies for referrals and collaborations.
• Plan and execute community outreach programs to promote mental wellness.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities.
• Monitor client progress and adapt therapies accordingly.
• Provide mentorship and support to interns or new counselors.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work

Experience

• 3+ years of professional counseling experience

• Therapeutic techniques

Certifications

• Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC)
• National Certified Counselor (NCC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
