Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective dispensing of medication, providing consultations to patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and dispensing of pharmaceutical products.
  • Offer health promotion and prevention services to patients.
  • Conduct medication therapy management and reviewing prescriptions for interactions.
  • Advise patients on lifestyle changes to improve health.
  • Participate in patient care team meetings and discussions.
  • Provide recommendations for over-the-counter medications.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Assist in the implementation of pharmacy programs and initiatives.
  • Review and interpret lab results to optimize drug therapy.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
  • Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting
