Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients.
• Review and evaluate medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy.
• Monitor patient outcomes and medication adherence.
• Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed and consultations provided.
• Educate patients on potential side effects and interactions of medications.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy legislation and regulations.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff as required.
• Participate in community health initiatives and outreach programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting
