Social Worker

Job Description

As a Social Worker at Community Care Services, you will work closely with clients to overcome social and emotional challenges. You will provide counseling, facilitate support groups, and engage with the community to foster a supportive environment for those in need.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ social and emotional needs and create individualized plans.
• Facilitate access to social services and community resources for clients.
• Conduct home visits as necessary to evaluate client situations.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops for professional development.
• Offer guidance and expertise to interns and volunteers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Master's degree in Psychology or related field is a bonus

Experience

• 3+ years of direct experience in social services

• Social Welfare Knowledge

• Problem Solving

Certifications

• Social Work Supervisor Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Bilingual abilities are a plus: Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages.
