Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Social Worker to join our Durban team. In this role, you will provide support and advocacy for individuals and families facing social challenges. Your work will involve assessments, developing intervention plans, and collaborating with community resources to enhance the well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs and develop tailored support strategies.
  • Coordinate services with local organizations and community partners.
  • Educate clients on their rights and available resources.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Compile and analyze demographic data to inform service provision.
  • Develop outreach programs to increase community engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in practice.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and service providers.
  • Support program development and evaluation initiatives.
  • Participate in community meetings and represent the organization.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related discipline
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in community service or social work
