Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate AI Research Scientist to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will be involved in developing and implementing state-of-the-art algorithms and models for various AI applications, driving innovation and quality in our solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI algorithms and machine learning models.
• Conduct statistical analysis and performance metrics on algorithms.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate AI capabilities into applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI research and technology.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and research reports.
• Conduct experiments to validate the performance of models and algorithms.
• Lead workshops and presentations to share findings and developments with the team.
• Assist in mentoring junior researchers and interns.
• Evaluate existing AI systems and propose enhancements or alternatives.
• Participate in cross-departmental meetings to identify AI-related opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence preferred

• 3+ years of relevant research experience
