Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our ongoing projects in Durban. The successful candidate will work on design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems. A passion for sustainable engineering and innovative solutions is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Initiate designs for new mechanical systems.
• Utilize CAD software for drafting and modeling tasks.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and specifications.
• Evaluate existing designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in mechanical engineering with a focus on innovative designs

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certified

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in energy management systems: Experience with sustainable energy solutions.
