Interior Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio showcasing design skills and the ability to bring concepts to life. You will work closely with clients to understand their preferences, developing layouts that maximize both aesthetic appeal and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Design and re-design functional spaces to meet client needs.
• Prepare layouts and mood boards to illustrate design concepts.
• Select furniture, decorative accents, and accessories that align with the proposed design.
• Perform site visits to monitor construction progress and compliance with designs.
• Collaborate with architects and other design professionals for project success.
• Revise plans according to feedback from clients and stakeholders.
• Develop strong presentation materials to effectively communicate ideas.
• Produce documentation for project specifications including color schemes and material choices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in interior design or a related field
