Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our Bloemfontein team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards. Ideal candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward project challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs that meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and compliance checks on projects.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications for bidding.
• Provide on-site support during construction.
• Evaluate construction methods and materials.
• Engage in sustainability initiatives and green building practices.
• Contribute to team meetings and provide expert insights.
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders and team members.
• Enhance designs with innovative engineering solutions.
• Lead project kickoff and update meetings with clients and teams.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is a plus.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience preferred in major projects.

Technical Skills

• SAP2000
• ETABS
• BIM Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Setswana: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with Site Supervision: Hands-on experience in supervising construction sites is preferred.
• Proficiency in Technical Writing: Ability to prepare technical reports and project documentation.
