Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to be part of our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and can apply innovative design practices to ensure structural integrity in diverse projects. You will help lead the engineering process from inception to completion, ensuring all specifications and regulations are met.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative design solutions for complex structural challenges.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations for project approval.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns on best practices in structural engineering.
• Conduct research on new materials and methods for structural applications.
• Lead presentations and discussions with clients regarding project updates.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or relevant discipline
• Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Experience

• 5+ years in structural engineering with a strong portfolio of projects

Technical Skills

• Revit
• ETABS

Soft Skills

• Team player
• Leadership

Certifications

• Structural Engineering certification preferred
• Gauteng Master Builder Association (MBA) certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams: Working effectively with various professionals from different engineering and construction disciplines.
• Understanding of advanced materials like composites: Knowledge of modern materials and their application in structural design.
