Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our esteemed practice in Pretoria. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health conditions, performing surgeries, and providing quality care to pets and their owners. A strong commitment to animal welfare and client education is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions in pets.
  • Perform complex surgeries and attend to post-operative care.
  • Provide guidance on nutrition and exercise for animals.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver exceptional veterinary services.
  • Train and mentor junior staff and interns.
  • Contribute to the development of practice policies and protocols.
  • Network with local veterinarians to enhance care quality.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) or equivalent
  • Postgraduate degree in Animal Surgery is an asset
Experience
  • At least 3 years in veterinary practice with surgical experience
