DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team in Cape Town. You will play a critical role in enhancing our cloud computing capabilities and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools, alongside experience working with cloud environments. Your expertise will be essential in providing improved operational efficiencies and fostering a culture of collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated scripts to improve the deployment lifecycle.
• Work with APIs and integration tools to streamline workflows.
• Oversee the management of containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Enhance existing DevOps practices by implementing best practices in version control and deployment.
• Support the onboarding of new applications and environments into infrastructure management.
• Participate in architectural discussions regarding the development and deployment lifecycle.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Master's degree would be advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in DevOps and Cloud Technologies
