Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer in our Pretoria office, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced engineering solutions. We are looking for a results-driven individual with a passion for innovation and a strong background in mechanical system design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement mechanical components and systems for various projects.
• Conduct tests and evaluations to assess system performance.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure manufacturability of designs.
• Support the development of maintenance plans and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Mechanical Systems Design
• Project Management Tools (MS Project)

Soft Skills

• Communication

Certifications

• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with renewable energy systems: Knowledge of designing and implementing renewable energy projects.
• Experience in product development: Involvement in the lifecycle of product development from conception to production.
