Job Description

As a Hand Coke Drawer, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, managing coke ovens and ensuring the efficient drawing of coke. This hands-on role involves monitoring processes and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the drawing of coke from ovens, ensuring timely and effective transfer.
  • Conduct regular inspections of ovens and equipment for routine maintenance.
  • Control variables such as airflow and temperature to maintain optimal production conditions.
  • Assist in training new employees on coke handling and safety procedures.
  • Document production metrics and report to management.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Training in coke oven operation preferred
Experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous
