Job Description

We are seeking an innovative Architect to join our talented team in Durban. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in designing functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces while considering client needs and site limitations. You’ll be responsible for managing projects from conceptual design through to completion, contributing to the development of sustainable and attractive urban spaces.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale projects.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals.
• Use sustainable practices in design to minimize environmental impact.
• Mentor junior architects and interns in design processes.
• Participate in community engagement initiatives related to design.
• Facilitate meetings with clients to understand their vision and needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent
• Master's degree in Urban Planning is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in architectural project management

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Solar Analysis Software

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Architectural Design Certificate
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software: Experience with various 3D modeling tools beyond AutoCAD and Revit.
• Portfolio of completed projects: A strong portfolio showcasing completed projects relevant to the role.
