Supplier Chain Manager

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Supplier Chain Manager to lead our logistics and supply chain operations in Durban. This role requires a proactive individual who can optimise our supply chain processes and enhance our relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish key performance indicators to track supply chain performance.
• Work with IT to leverage technology in supply chain operations.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain team.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions where necessary.
• Develop and execute strategic supply chain plans that align with business goals.
• Manage inventory and stock levels to maximise product availability and minimize costs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of leadership experience in supply chain or logistics

• Logistics Management

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems): Familiarity with systems that optimise warehouse operations.
