Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting our organization’s computer systems and networks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive information. You will work closely with IT teams and management to develop security protocols, monitor network activity, and conduct regular security assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security improvements to protect sensitive data.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on cybersecurity awareness.
• Analyze and report on security incidents to management.
• Research and stay informed on the latest security trends and threats.
• Implement and maintain firewalls and intrusion detection systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
• Master's degree in Information Security preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity environments
