Job Description

As a General Practitioner at our Cape Town facility, you will focus on providing comprehensive health assessments and managing patient care. You will play a pivotal role in promoting health and wellness within the community while receiving support from other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to patients.
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Communicate effectively with patients about their health.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to practice protocols.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and interns.
• Address patient queries and concerns promptly.
• Support health education in the community through workshops.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent qualification
• Specialist qualification in Family Medicine is an advantage

Experience

• Experience in a public health setting is beneficial

• Clinical Proficiency

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Family Medicine Certification (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Basic

• Research experience in healthcare practices: Involvement in medical research or clinical trials is an advantage.
