Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Research Scientist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting innovative research and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will have a strong background in experimental design and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative methods for research projects.
• Conduct literature reviews to inform research direction.
• Engage with external researchers and institutions for collaborative projects.
• Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
• Assist in administrative tasks related to research projects.
• Foster a safe and productive lab environment.
• Lead research initiatives from conception through execution.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Biological Sciences or related field
• PhD is highly preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in research and development

• Experimental Design

Certifications

• Clinical Research Associate Certification
• ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools: Experience using bioinformatics software for biological data analysis.
