Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Environmental Scientist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This role involves conducting research and assessments to provide data-driven insights for environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in environmental science and a commitment to sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead research initiatives focused on biodiversity and conservation.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Assist in the design of projects aimed at reducing carbon footprints.
• Implement strategies for sustainable resource management.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on environmental best practices.
• Support the Environmental Manager in project management activities.
• Track and report on environmental performance indicators.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of professional experience in environmental consultancy or similar roles
