General Engineer

Job Description

As a General Engineer in our Durban office, your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and overseeing engineering projects. You will be expected to apply analytical skills and engineering principles to deliver practical solutions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design projects from concept through to implementation.
• Evaluate and select materials and components for projects.
• Conduct simulations and testing of engineering designs.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
• Prepare engineering drawings and designs compliant with regulations.
• Act as the point of contact for all stakeholders during project execution.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• A Master's degree in Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Tools
• Engineering Design Software

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent
