Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will collaborate with our finance team to manage budgets, audits, and assist in strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of financial information and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports.
• Conduct analysis of financial data to support decision-making.
• Coordinate with other departments to gather financial information.
• Implement and maintain accounting systems and controls.
• Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.
• Identify areas for process improvement in financial procedures.
• Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders for financial advising.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
• Postgraduate diploma in Accounting is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or financial roles

• Microsoft Excel

Certifications

• ACCA or CIMA qualification

Languages

• English: Fluent
