Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician in Bloemfontein to support our pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care and support to patients visiting the pharmacy.
• Manage inventory and restock medications as necessary.
• Assist in the development of pharmacy programs and initiatives.
• Ensure the pharmacy complies with legal requirements and standards.
• Document prescription changes and maintain confidentiality.
• Engage in training of new staff members.

Requirements

Education

• Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Diploma in Pharmacy Technology is preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred

Technical Skills

• Pharmaceutical Formulations
• Inventory Management

Soft Skills

• Customer Service
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Knowledge of natural remedies and supplements: Familiar with over-the-counter supplements and their uses.
