Pharmacist

Job Description

As a pharmacist with Healthcare Solutions Ltd., you'll be integral to our mission of delivering quality healthcare in Durban. You'll provide essential pharmaceutical services, counsel patients on medication management, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide advice to patients on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Conduct patient education on medication therapy and health management.
• Maintain medication inventory and ensure proper storage practices.
• Act as a resource for drug information for healthcare providers.
• Assist in managing pharmacy staff and training interns.
• Implement patient safety protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote health and wellness programs in the community.
• Manage pharmacy's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a community pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacy Practice
• Medication Therapy Management

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Leadership

Certifications

• CPD-accredited training in Pharmacy Practice

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR): Experience in managing EHR systems is a plus.
