Backend Developer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. If you have a strong understanding of server-side logic and possess experience in working with databases and APIs, we want to hear from you. You'll play an essential role in the design and maintenance of our services, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features based on client requests.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of backend processes.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs into applications.
• Implement testing strategies for backend functionality.
• Participate in daily standups and support teammate collaboration.
• Cooperate with product management to align development timelines and product goals.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and maintain code quality standards.
• Document development processes and update system libraries when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Master's degree in a technical field is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in developing robust backend systems
