We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of environmental regulations and engineering principles. The role involves conducting environmental assessments, developing sustainable solutions, and collaborating with a diverse team to ensure compliance with environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Design and implement environmental management systems.
• Work with clients to identify project-specific environmental needs.
• Engage in community outreach and education regarding environmental impacts.
• Support the development of proposals for new projects.
• Analyze regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.
• Develop case studies to promote sustainable project practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and construction teams during project execution.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on environmental compliance.
• Report project progress and challenges to management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in an environmental engineering role or related field
