Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable IT Support Technician to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to our users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems. Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs of computer systems and peripherals.
• Provide support for remote desktop users and systems.
• Keep records of all IT support requests and resolutions.
• Participate in IT projects such as upgrades and installations.
• Monitor system performance and address any issues proactively.
• Assist in the development of IT support documentation.
• Work with vendors for hardware and software procurement.

Requirements

Education

• Higher Certificate in Information Technology or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science is advantageous

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in IT support or help desk roles

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Virtualization

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
