Job Description

The Bomb Technician will be responsible for identifying, diffusing, and disposing of explosive devices. This role requires specialized training and experience in handling a variety of explosives, ensuring safety and compliance in all operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform bomb disposal operations effectively and safely.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment and tools.
• Develop and implement safety procedures and training programs.
• Respond to incidents involving explosives or suspicious packages.
• Collaborate with emergency services during critical operations.
• Document all procedures and findings accurately.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Specialized training in bomb disposal techniques

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bomb disposal or related fields

Technical Skills

• Explosive Knowledge

Certifications

• Certification by a recognized bomb disposal agency
• First Aid and CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
