Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare providers, and ensuring best practices in nursing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions based on individual care plans.
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to facilitate holistic patient care.
• Provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families.
• Participate in staff training and orientation programs.
• Engage in continuing education to enhance nursing competencies.
• Document nursing procedures and patient information accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Assist in the development of nursing policies and procedures.
• Act as the point of contact for patient care concerns and inquiries.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a nursing role

Technical Skills

• Patient Care
• Medication Administration

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Pediatric Care: Previous work experience in a pediatric nursing setting is highly advantageous.
• Infection Control Certification: Certification in infection control practices is a plus.
