Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Animal Care Clinic in East London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in small animal medicine and surgery, and will be committed to providing exceptional care to our furry patients.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat animals presenting with various health issues.
  • Develop healthcare plans and preventive strategies.
  • Supervise the veterinary technicians in their duties.
  • Promote responsible pet ownership through client education.
  • Engage in community health programs and initiatives.
  • Research and apply new veterinary techniques and technologies.
  • Report and manage adverse reactions to medications and treatments.
  • Foster a supportive and educational environment for interns and students.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualifications in veterinary surgery or internal medicine are a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in veterinary practice, with a focus on surgery and advanced medical treatments.
