Construction Manager

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Construction Manager to oversee our projects in Durban. The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction activities while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
• Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Manage site logistics and resource allocation.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all work meets the highest quality standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture is preferred
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 8+ years of substantial experience in construction management

Certifications

• NEBOSH Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations: In-depth understanding of KwaZulu-Natal construction regulations.
