Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing chemical processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for our projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement innovative processes to reduce waste and enhance quality.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new projects.
• Collaborate with suppliers for procurement of raw materials.
• Lead projects from conception through to execution.
• Review and update documentation in line with industry best practices.
• Provide technical support during commissioning and startup phases.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Engineering license is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry

• Chemical Process Simulation
• Environmental Compliance

Certifications

• Certified Chemical Engineer (CCE)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
