Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. In this role, you will evaluate insurance applications, assess risk, and determine coverage terms. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Make decisions on underwriting large or complex accounts.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior underwriters.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss risk assessment strategies.
  • Utilize software tools to manage underwriting workflows efficiently.
  • Review claims data to adjust underwriting guidelines and best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance or related field
  • Master's degree in Business Administration is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in underwriting various insurance products
