Geologist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Geologist to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have expertise in geological mapping, sampling techniques, and data interpretation. You'll be responsible for conducting fieldwork, analyzing geological data, and providing valuable insights into mineral exploration and environmental impact assessments.

Responsibilities

• Investigate geological structures to support resource exploration.
• Coordinate laboratory tests on collected samples.
• Assist in the preparation of environmental impact assessments.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to support project goals.
• Identify and suggest improvements to geological methodologies.
• Attend and contribute to community engagement meetings.
• Present findings to stakeholders and management.
• Participate in industry conferences and seminars.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or similar field
• Relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in geological surveys or exploration
