Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Geologist to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have expertise in geological mapping, sampling techniques, and data interpretation. You'll be responsible for conducting fieldwork, analyzing geological data, and providing valuable insights into mineral exploration and environmental impact assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological field surveys and sampling.
• Analyze geological and geochemical data.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineering and environmental teams.
• Monitor drilling activities and provide in-field support.
• Develop geological models using technical software.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide mentorship to junior geologists and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or similar field
• Relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in geological surveys or exploration
