SEO Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a talented SEO Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing effective SEO strategies to improve our clients' online visibility and search rankings. You will analyse website performance and recommend changes to site architecture, content, links, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

Responsibilities

• Create content for SEO blog posts and landing pages.
• Develop and execute link-building strategies.
• Help improve overall user experience to increase dwell time.
• Provide insights on potential new keyword targets and content opportunities.
• Train employees on SEO best practices and trends.
• Engage in ongoing optimization of existing content and campaigns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing or related field
• Master's degree in Digital Marketing would be advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in SEO and online marketing

Technical Skills

• HTML/CSS
• Content Management Systems (CMS)

Soft Skills

• Creativity
• Time Management

Certifications

• HubSpot SEO Certification
• Google Ads Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with website optimization for speed: Ability to recommend and implement improvements for website loading speed.
• Strong understanding of local SEO techniques: Experience in optimizing for local search and knowledge of local search trends.
