Job Description

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing medication supplies, assisting pharmacists, and ensuring that patients receive optimal care. You will interact with customers daily, providing them with essential advice and support on their prescriptions and health.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control checks on medications pre-dispensing.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and report discrepancies to management.
  • Assist in training new staff on operational procedures and best practices.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance pharmaceutical knowledge.
  • Participate in health promotion activities organized by the pharmacy.
  • Liaise with suppliers for procurement of medications and health products.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Diploma in Pharmacy Technician studies preferred
Experience
  • 2-4 years in a pharmacy or healthcare environment
