Job Description

We are seeking skilled Aircraft Structure, Surfaces, Rigging, and Systems Assemblers to join our expert team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in metal fabrication, assembly, and rigging of aircraft components, working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed assembly plans based on design specifications.
• Utilize advanced tools and machinery for fabrication.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on tools and equipment.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
• Support quality assurance processes by verifying assembly integrity.
• Help maintain inventory of materials required for production.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate or diploma in sheet metal or HVAC technology
• Trade certification as a Sheet Metal Mechanic preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years experience in assembly or fabrication within the aviation sector

Technical Skills

• CNC Operating
• Sheet Metal Inspection

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Safety certifications relevant to sheet metal assembly

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Additional trade certification in HVAC or related field: Enhanced skills in HVAC systems can be an asset in this role.
• Experience in welding and soldering: Strong skills in welding techniques are highly beneficial for this position.
• Experience with CNC machines: Knowledge with CNC systems will enhance fabrication capabilities.
• Experience with building automation systems: Familiarity with building automation can provide advantageous insights.
