UX/UI Designer

Job Description

Join our Johannesburg team as a UX/UI Designer. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing intuitive user interfaces that enhance user engagement. A successful candidate will have a solid grasp of design principles and an eye for detail to create impactful user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to understand user needs.
• Create user personas and journeys to guide design decisions.
• Design and test interactive prototypes with users.
• Facilitate feedback sessions and incorporate insights into design iterations.
• Ensure accessibility standards are met in all design deliverables.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Document design specifications and guidelines.
• Actively participate in design critiques to enhance team output.
• Attend industry events and workshops to stay current on trends.
• Review analytics to measure user interaction and highlight potential design changes.

Requirements

Education

• BTech or equivalent in Design or related field
• Master’s degree in Design is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in UX/UI design

Technical Skills

• Sketch
• InVision

Soft Skills

• Collaboration

Certifications

• UX Design Institute Certificate
• Nielsen Norman Group UX Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with animation tools: Familiarity with tools such as After Effects or Principle for animations.
• Understanding of design systems: A solid understanding of design systems to ensure consistency across products.
