Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing environmental impacts and developing strategies to mitigate these effects. You will conduct research, perform field studies, and collaborate with governmental and non-governmental organizations to implement sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental monitoring and reporting activities.
• Engage with local communities to promote environmental education.
• Conduct research on emerging environmental issues.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners on project designs.
• Evaluate pollution control measures and their effectiveness.
• Assist in the development of environmental policy recommendations.
• Document project progress and prepare comprehensive reports.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline
• Master's degree in Environmental Science is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or management

• GIS Software
