Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in Cape Town. You will design and develop electrical systems and work on projects from conception through to implementation. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and implement electrical control systems.
• Assess and enhance existing electrical designs.
• Research new technologies to incorporate into projects.
• Work in collaboration with contractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate technical proposals and recommend improvements.
• Lead project teams in design review meetings.
• Ensure sustainable practices in all engineering processes.
• Create detailed specifications for system components.
• Assist in the preparation of project bids.
• Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in project management

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SCADA systems: Knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma: Experience in process improvement methodologies.
