Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough oral examinations to evaluate dental health.
• Perform restorative and cosmetic dental procedures.
• Collect and analyze diagnostic data, including X-rays.
• Guide patients through treatment options and costs.
• Engage in community outreach and education efforts.
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
• Supervise dental hygiene staff and support roles.
• Implement patient feedback processes for service improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical dental setting

Technical Skills

• Brilliant clinical skills in general dentistry
• Strong diagnostic skills

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Patient empathy

Certifications

• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• CPR certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in performing orthodontics and cosmetic procedures: Desirable skills in orthodontics are an added advantage.
• Fluent in additional languages: Bilingual candidates are preferred for diverse patient communication.
