Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Safety Coordinator to manage and oversee safety protocols within our chemical processes. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in risk assessment, compliance checks, and developing safety training programs for staff.

Responsibilities

• Review and update safety policies and procedures as needed.
• Coordinate safety training sessions and workshops for new employees.
• Develop safety communication strategies to keep all employees informed.
• Conduct incident investigations and prepare reports for management.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of safety initiatives and recommend improvements.
• Work with vendors to ensure safe procurement and storage of chemicals.
• Engage in community outreach to handle concerns related to chemical safety.
• Participate in industry conferences to stay updated on best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in chemical safety environments

• Chemical Risk Analysis

Certifications

• Lead Auditor for ISO 14001
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with the Process Safety Management (PSM) framework: Knowledge of PSM regulations and best practices.
