Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team in East London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing and treating a broad range of psychological conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help clients achieve their mental health goals through evidence-based therapies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs through interviews and tests.
• Create a therapeutic environment that facilitates healing.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Advocate for clients and connect them to needed resources.
• Educate clients about mental health issues.
• Participate in case management and patient supervision.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or related field
• Doctorate degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years in a clinical setting with diverse populations

Technical Skills

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Family Therapy

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Crisis Management

Certifications

• Certified Clinical Psychologist

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
