Job Description

As a Meat Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through assisting with meat selection, preparing various meat products, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the meat department. Our ideal candidate is passionate about customer service and has a keen interest in food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers in selecting ideal meat cuts for their needs.
• Expertly prepare and package a variety of meat products.
• Keep the meat department clean and tidy at all times.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations consistently.
• Oversee the stocking of new meat products and inventory management.
• Accurately price and label meat items before placement on display.
• Deliver an excellent customer service experience.
• Safely operate tools such as meat slicers and grinders.
• Assist with inventory control and product ordering.
• Collaborate with coworkers to promote a positive work environment.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Certificate in Meat Cutting or Butchery preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in a similar role advantageous

Languages

• English: Fluent
