Job Description

As a Tool Design Checker, you will ensure that all tool designs meet industry standards and customer specifications. This role requires excellent attention to detail, technical expertise, and strong communication skills. You will be collaborating closely with design teams to enhance our tool design processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tooling designs for manufacturability and functionality.
• Ensure that designs meet both industry standards and company requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and design staff in best practices.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to tool design and manufacturing processes.
• Analyze manufacturing feedback to drive design changes.
• Work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure successful product delivery.
• Contribute to project management within the engineering team.
• Assist in training and onboarding of new team members.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of tooling and manufacturing processes.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers and vendors for tooling procurement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tooling or mechanical design

Technical Skills

• Inventor
• CATIA

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• FMEA Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies: Experience with Agile project management and design processes.
• Project management experience: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery.
