Responsibilities

• Inspect construction sites and existing buildings for compliance.
• Provide technical guidance on building standards and regulations.
• Compile reports on inspection outcomes and possible violations.
• Manage inspections scheduling and communicate with involved parties.
• Assess building materials and methods used for safety compliance.
• Advocate for quality standards in construction and building safety.
• Engage with community stakeholders to provide information and education.

Requirements

Education

• BTech in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional certification recognized in South Africa is desirable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in construction and building inspection

• Understanding of structural integrity

Certifications

• Certified Building Inspector
